1. System Requirements
1.1. | Supported Web browsers |
You must use Firefox ≥ 6.0, Chrome ≥ 15.0, or Safari ≥ 6.0 to run Vareos™ applications. Internet Explorer will work after you install the Google Chrome Frame plugin. We hope to make it possible to use Internet Explorer 10 without the Chrome Frame plugin.
2. Window Operations | |
| |
2.1. | Close a window |
Click the red ‘X’ on the left end of the window's title bar.
2.2. | Maximize a window |
Click the green ‘+’ on the left end of the window's title bar.
2.3. | Iconify or minimize a window |
Iconifying (also called minimizing) a window makes it disappear from the screen, after which it can be restored from its application icon. To iconify a window, click the yellow ‘—’ on the left end of its title bar.
2.4. | Deiconify an iconified window |
Access the application's window list and click on the window title corresponding to the window you want to deiconify.
2.5. | Shade a window |
A shaded window displays only its title bar. The rest of the window is invisible, as though it had been rolled up into the title bar like a real window shade. To shade a window, double-click on the title bar with the primary mouse button.
2.6. | Unshade a window |
Double-click on the window's freestanding title bar with the primary mouse button. The rest of the window will appear as though it had been unrolled from the title bar like a real window shade.
2.7. | Resize a window |
Place the mouse cursor on top of the backwards L at the lower right-hand corner of the window. The mouse cursor should change into the shape of your operating system's resize cursor. Press and hold down the primary mouse button while moving the cursor to adjust the size of the window.
2.8. | Move a window to the bottom of all other windows |
Shift-click (click the primary mouse button while holding down the shift key) on the title bar. Also, you may click on the title bar with the secondary mouse button (a right click for right-handed mice).
2.9. | Move a window to the top of all other windows |
Only one window may be actively selected at a time. That window will be placed on top of all other windows. To select and activate an inactive window, click any part of the window, including its title bar. Also, you may access the application's window list and select the window by its title.
2.10. | Access a window you can't see |
If you can't see a window, it may be iconified or hidden beneath another window. To make the window appear, access the application's window list and select the window by its title. The window will rise to the top of all other windows. A window may also become hidden if you resize your Web browser and cut off the area containing the window. In that case, simply put your Web browser in full-screen mode (the recommended way to use Vos™) or maximize it to reveal the hidden window.
